We're delighted you're visiting our website!
Chances are good you already know Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Founded in 1895, we've been serving up Swedish egg coffee, pancakes, and meatballs from our Minnesota State Fair dining hall for 64 years. Located in north Minneapolis, we are theologically progressive and missionally minded, with worship being uniquely Lutheran and uniquely Salem. There’s even a bluegrass band that leads worship on 4th Sundays! Salem is "Reconciling in Christ (RIC)" and we're a place to learn, grow, and belong--following God’s invitation to become your best you.
Join us Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for worship.
- March is Minnesota Foodshare Month. Please bring non perishable food items to church, all of which will be donated to a local food shelf.
- Join us on Thursday evenings in Lent (March 13, 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17) for Holden Evening Prayer and soup suppers. Get ready to slow down, breathe, and re-connect with the Holy. Suppers will begin at 6 PM with Holden Evening Prayer at 7 PM.
- March 25 we'll be opening our doors for a free community meal. Helpers are needed. Call the church office to volunteer or sign up in the narthex.
